Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of BudgetPilot, a personal budget planning service operated by Budget Planner LLP.

Last updated: September 16, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Your contract is with Budget Planner LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan ("BudgetPilot", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

2. What BudgetPilot does

BudgetPilot helps you plan budgets, track income and expenses, set financial goals and get AI-generated insights about your spending. BudgetPilot provides educational financial guidance only and does not provide personalized investment, tax or legal advice.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use BudgetPilot, and you confirm that any information you provide is accurate and kept up to date. If you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse BudgetPilot. In particular, you must not:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose;
  • commit fraud, send spam or attempt to phish other users;
  • infringe our intellectual property or that of others, including copying, reselling or redistributing the service or its content;
  • interfere with the security of the service — including introducing malware, probing or scanning for vulnerabilities, scraping the service or circumventing usage limits;
  • reverse engineer the service except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
  • use AI features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, malware or content that harms others, or to attempt to bypass the model's safety rules.

5. AI features

  • You are responsible for the prompts you submit, how you use AI outputs, and verifying their accuracy before relying on them for financial decisions.
  • You confirm you have the rights to any content you provide as input. You keep ownership of your inputs; AI outputs are provided to you under a limited licence to use them in connection with BudgetPilot.
  • AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are never a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product. They are not suitable as a substitute for regulated professional advice without appropriate oversight.
  • We may remove or restrict content, filter AI outputs or suspend accounts that violate these terms. If you believe AI-generated content infringes your rights, contact us at support@budgetpilot.dev and we will investigate; repeat infringement may lead to termination.

6. Intellectual property

BudgetPilot, including its software, design, documentation and branding, is owned by Budget Planner LLP and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service within your selected plan. You keep ownership of the data you enter into BudgetPilot and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service to you.

7. Payment and subscription terms

BudgetPilot offers a free plan and paid subscription plans billed monthly. Your order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Changing between paid plans takes effect immediately, with a prorated charge or credit handled by Paddle.

8. Service level and availability

We aim to keep BudgetPilot available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. Where feasible we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem, except where immediate action is necessary for security or legal reasons.

10. What happens when your account ends

If your account is terminated or you delete it, your access ends and your data is deleted or anonymised in line with our Privacy Policy. You can export your transactions as a CSV before deleting your account.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Budget Planner LLP is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Budget Planner LLP against claims arising from content you provide, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

13. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes (for example by email or in-app notice) in advance, and continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Assignment and force majeure

You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Kazakhstan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may also bring claims in the courts of their country of residence where local law gives them that right.
